Serena scores super charmer

It has now been quite a while since the rumors started running on about Serena Williams having as much success with her love life as she has on the courts. Even though it was never officially confirmed by both parties, it has almost been a public secret that the 33 year old tennis queen had a relationship with the Canadian rapper Drake. However this weekend at last the confirmation came to us in the form of dewy pictures of the love couple. The pictures are a couple of days old and show the romantic couple having dinner in the fancy and expensive Italian restaurant Sotto in Cincinnati, Ohio. According to TMZ.com, it didn’t take long before the other guests started taking pictures of the celebrity couple with their phones. That exact same day, Serena won the WTA tournament Cincinnati Masters by beating Rumanian Simona Halep in a glorious final match. This counted as the 69th tournament victory so one can understand that the lovely couple had something extra to celebrate. Next week the entire tennis elite is meeting in New York to play in US Open. The hunt is back on. It was announced this weekend that the worlds biggest female sportsbrand, Maria Sharapova is single yet again as she broke up with Grigor Dimitrov after a year-long relationship. It was the 23 year old Bulgarian player that confirmed the rumors to be true. According to Tennis.com, Dimitrov said the following: “We experienced wonderful moments together. I wish her much happiness and success in life and in tennis.” Sharapova has been pretty quiet, however after her vacation to Montenegro, where Dimitrov didn’t come along, there hasn’t been that much doubt as to her actual commitment and the hunt for the long-legged Russian tennis player can begin once again. Much like the rest of the tennis playing elite, Maria Sharapova is on vacation at the moment, but she will be back on the courts halfway through August where she will be competing at the Rogers Cup in Canada. The top female tennis player, Serena Williams, had to withdraw herself from the WTA Championship in Båstad last week after suffering an injury. This must have been quite a disappointment for the event planners as they had made a pretty big deal out of bringing Serena Williams to Sweden. Thankfully, they still had lots of media coverage as the renowned tennis player did not hesitate to display herself on social medias. Wimbledon starts June 22

The glass roof is polished and the freshly cut grass is awaiting the players at Wimbledon. From Monday 22nd of June the first ball will be served and many of the tennis players below the top-100 can finaly get a shot at the big championship. The qualifying round will run until Thursday 25th of June and only then will the draw be made for the actual championship that will be held from Monday 29th of June until the 12th of July. Rainy weather puts a stop to semifinal

We must arm ourselves with patience if we are to see who will face Stanislas Wawrinka in the men’s French Open final. This is because the semifinals between Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic and British Andy Murray was cancelled because of rainy weather and storm on Friday. Djokovic is up with 2-1 in sets, it is still very exciting though. The Serbian took the first two sets with 6-3, 6-3 but then Murray returned and won third set with 7-5. He also broke the Djokovic’s serve in the fourth set however it got broken back and so now they will start at 3-3 in the fourth set.
