Can Rafael Nadal get back to his best in 2016?

Rafael Nadal will go down in history as one of the best Tennis players of all time, with many people believing he is the greatest clay-court player to ever pick up a racket. The last few years have seen the Spanish former world number 1 and fourteen-time grand slam winner slip down the rankings, suffering from injuries and struggling to find the form that took him to the top of the world. Could 2016 be the year that Nadal gets back to his best? Well, let us look at his 2015 to try and find the answer. Nadal started his 2015 season with a surprise first round singles defeat in Qatar to German qualifier Michael Berrer, before partnering Juan Monaco to the doubles title at the same event. That was just the start of a struggling singles campaign for Nadal, which saw him win only three tour titles and not get past the Quarter Final of any of the four grand slam events. His ranking even dropped to 10th in June ’15 as he found himself falling further behind the likes of Djokovic, Murray and Federer. Nadal isn’t one to just lay down and die though, with a fighting spirit instilled into him that he showed in abundance as the season drew to a close. The last five tournaments of the year saw the Spaniard reach two Finals, two Semi Finals and one Quarter Final as he climbed back up to fifth in the ATP world rankings. The ATP Tour Finals in London saw Nadal playing as good as ever, with victories over Stan Wawrinka, David Ferrer and Andy...

Can anyone stop Novak Djokovic in 2016?

One man stood head and shoulders above the rest of the ATP in 2015, completely dominating the tour and breaking several records along the way. That man was Serbian world number 1 Novak Djokovic, with what was statistically the best season of his career and one of the best seasons in tennis history. Starting 2015 in Qatar, Djokovic didn’t have everything all his own way and was knocked out at the Quarter Final stage by Ivo Karlovic. That seemed to fire him up and he proceeded to reach the final of all 15 tournaments he played for the rest of the season. These included all four Grand Slam events, to make Djokovic only the third man in history to achieve this feat. His eleven titles for the season included a record breaking six Masters 1000 events, three Grand Slams and the end of season ATP Tour Finals. On top of all the trophies, he also amassed a record amount of prize money in a calendar year ($21,646,145) and won 31 matches against top ten players. The only other defeats he suffered after the one to Karlovic were against Federer (3 times), Murray and Wawrinka. The man wasn’t quite unbeatable but was as near to it as anyone is going to get in the near future. The question coming into 2016 is, can anyone stop him from having an even better season? The Serb will again start his campaign in Qatar at the start of January, where he will hope to have a better tournament than last year, before starting the defence of his Australian Open crown from the 18th....

Will Serena bounce back in Melbourne?

The tennis year is over, but already the players have begun to prepare for the first big event of 2016- Australian Open. From the 18 – 30 January a total of 128 players will compete in the women’s edition of the Australian Open. The big question of that tournament is whether Serena Williams can bounce back from the disappointment of not winning the US Open 2015 ore she wil face the struggle she had in 2014? The 34-year-old American has held the world no. 1 ranking for almost three straight years, and recently came two wins away from capturing a legendary Calendar Grand Slam at the US Open. Although she had an astonishing season the lost semifinal in New York caused her to end her season immediately afterwards, and is was clear to everybody that follows tennis that Serena felt the blow of that loss more than she had felt the joy of any of her many other successes. Another player who will be someone to follow in Melbourne is Victoria Azarenka. The two-time Australian Open champion returned from a previous season wrecked with injuries end personal struggles in 2015, and fought her way back to the top. Although she never claimed a title, Azarenka did not look far from her brilliant best nearer the end of the year to approaching her form of...

US Open 2015: Aftermath

Despite our expectations, Serena Williams did not manage to beat Roberta Vinci in the semifinals which means she did not win this edition of US Open. Serena was set as the big favorit in this match so it came as a surprise to everyone. When you compare stats between the two it’s quite obvious why it was such a chock: Vinci has lost 24 matches in 2015 whileas Serena Williams has lost 22 matches in the past 10 year! Even more frustrating, the italian Roberta Vinci got beaten in the semifinals by Flavia Pennetta another Italian tennis player. We hope you enjoyed our us open live streaming services. Federer: oldest champion in 45 years

US Open has been an excellent example of how 30 is the new 20. In any case the tournament is being dominated by players who have reached a rather “elderly” age. It is especially the “old” female tennis players that have kept the lead since three of the four semi finalists have passed their youth period. On the gentlemens side, Roger Federer has been playing like a senior and has lead our thoughts into that time where no one could touch him on top of the tennis hierarchy. Should he go on to win US Open he would then become the oldest winner in 45 years. This has been a rare occasion, where older players reach these stages. The last player over 30 who won Us Open was Pete Sampras who, 27 days after his 31st birthday, was holding the trophy at the Arthur Ashe Stadium back in 2002. This year Federer has just turned 34 years old so there is still time for him to get the title while being the oldest winner ever. Ken Rosewall currently detains this record, when he in 1972 won Australian Open while being 37 years old. Two years previously he also became the oldest winner of US Open when he was 35 years old. In the Us Open semifinals Roger Federer will be facing Stanis Wawrinka – this will be an epic match and you can watch it by Live Streaming Us Open...

Djokovic feels the pressure

He has been incredible so far in US Open. However Roberto Bautista-Agut from Spain managed to put a lot of pressure on Novak Djokovic. So much so that he was showing a lot of signs of frustrations as he lost the second set. He actually threw his racket down and the referee gave him a warning. This is the first set that the worlds number one tennis player has lost in this Grand Slam, he did though in the end manage to pull through and won the two last sets, winning the match with 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. “Credit to him for fighting, for making me work,” said Djokovic. “It was a very physical match. I played over three hours, and I’m just glad that I managed to stay tough.” The Serbian must now duel yet another player from Spain at US Open, namely, Feliciano Lopez (18). This is by the way Djokovic’s 26th quarterfinals in a row. Did you miss the match? Don’t let it happen again, find out how to watch Us Open Live Streaming right here on...

Murray beats sleeping opponent

One can say many things about Nick Kyrgios, one thing is sure he get’s more attention than he deserves. As we saw him dangeling around on the tennis court one couldn’t help but to lower ones head in shame. In the first round match against Andy Murray at US Open, the australian player saw fit to take a small nap during the match pause. Murray spent his time putting ice on his neck as one would in a hot summer New York day, all the while Kyrgios was taking ‘resting period’ rather litteraly and taking a quick nap. It did help though, Murray was brilliant on the tennis court, even though tennis expert and legend John McEnroe said he was not impressed by Andy Murray’s performace. Despite this, he still managed to win in four sets with 7-5, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1. Next up, our country hero is playing against Adrian Mannarino from France. Did you see this match?
